Someone coming to dance with Southern Maryland Smooth Steppaz can expect a fun, energetic, and welcoming experience from the moment the music starts! 💜👢
We teach a variety of line dances, starting with beginner-friendly steps and gradually building into more advanced combinations. You will learn the basics—footwork, rhythm, timing, turns, and transitions—while also learning how to relax, feel the beat, and add a little personality and smooth flavor to your steps.
Our music is as diverse as our Steppaz! 🎶 Expect a mix of R&B, Southern Soul, hip-hop, old-school favorites, go-go, and today’s popular line-dance hits. The atmosphere is upbeat, supportive, and full of laughter. Nobody should feel intimidated or embarrassed about missing a step—we learn together, encourage one another, and have a good time doing it.
Most importantly, you will experience more than a dance class. You will gain movement, confidence, friendship, community, and plenty of fun.
